What
are Polinosic, Lyocell®, and Tencel®?
 |
Polinosic,
Lyocell and Tencel are the first actual new fibers recognized by world
governments in 40 years. At some point, The Bensol Group has used
all three as components of wonderful fabrics. They have helped define
"Business Casual." |
| |
|
 |
Polinosic, Lyocell and
Tencel are all 100% natural fibers. |
| |
|
 |
Polinosic,
Lyocell and Tencel all come from tree bark, usually, the eucalyptus
tree. |
| |
|
 |
Polinosic, Lyocell and
Tencel all breathe. |
| |
|
 |
Polinosic, Lyocell and
Tencel are all rayon derivatives, spun to create the densest, tightest,
and finest yarn possible. |
| |
|
 |
Polinosic,
Lyocell and Tencel all create softness and drape when used in weaving
a fabric. This helps create comfort without sacrificing a tailoring.
Hence "Business Casual." |
| |
|
 |
Polinosic is a generic
fiber. If you buy a nonstick frying pan it might be called Kitchen
Helper or Chefs Club depending on the vendor or retailer. |
| |
|
 |
Lyocell is
a fiber registered by the Courtaulds corporation in the USA. Courtaulds
must approve any manufacturer that uses Tencel. That approval entitles
the user to Tencel hangtags and advertising co-op. Think of the frying
pan: Now it is called Teflon®. |
| |
|
 |
All three fibers are only as good as the people
who weave, finish and manufacture the end fabric. Science has developed
these fibers but Artists spin, wash and dye them. At The Bensol
Group we use whatever blend produces the most luxurious "touch"
combined with the greatest durability.
